Individually-Wrapped Candy - SCCA has an ongoing need for the candy dish at the Guest Services desk in the main lobby. The clinic is a poplular place for patients and families to stop by as they come and go between appointments. Candy must be individually wrapped and should be the small, bite size variety. Sugar-free candies are also welcome.
Hats and Caps - Hats, caps, turbans and other head coverings of various sizes, shapes and colors are always in demand by both female and male patients. Donations must be new. Any handmade hats must be made in a smoke-free environment and of a soft, non-itchy material. Fleece hats are the most popular but hand-knit caps for all ages are always needed.'
Tickets to Local Events - Patients' families often have limited income while they are in Seattle. Donations of complimentary tickets to sports events, plays, concerts, museums, children's events, and movies in downtown Seattle provide diversion and relaxation for families. Gift certificates for restaurants and take-out food are also a thoughtful way to support families. In addition, the Volunteer Services Program accepts donations of annual passes to museums and local tourist attractions (Space Needle, Pacific Science Center, Argosy Cruises, etc.) which are loaned to families.
